New Trap Fields Open  Abilene Clay Sports

After a long fall and winter waiting for the construction of the new trap fields at Abilene Clay Sports the reconfigured trap fields are ready for use. On Saturday January 21st President Ben McAnally along with Michael Hull, Clifford Williams and ACS manager Mike Short shot the first round of targets from Trap #1, after all agreed that the new field are a vast improvement from the previous trap fields and will be a great addition to the club. Mr. Williams completed the round with a perfect score to give him the honor of having the first straight 25.

New skeet houses which overlay the trap fields are also completed, all that is required to finish up is to move the machines from the old fields into the new houses and build new fences. Other projects that are near completion at ACS include a newly relocated Helice (ZZ bird) field, a relocated wobble trap field and a new pavilion located just a short walk for the club house.

If you haven't been to the club for awhile come and check out the new stuff. While your here take the time to break a few targets with your friends.
